Fish With The Best!

Rodgers' Flats Fishing

Below are examples of some of the flats charter services Captain Guy provides.

Charter Information

Half-Day charters are 4—5 hours in length and can either be from the early morning to about lunch (7 am—1 pm) or from the late afternoon to sundown (3 pm—8 pm). Time of year and tides do play a part in deciding the best times so contact Captain Guy to discuss your proposed dates/times.

When Captain Guy says Full-Day Charter, he means a full day! If the tides are right he’ll start at sunrise and go until sunset.  Chances are he’ll take a short break in the middle of the day and feed you lunch (yes, lunch is included on Full-Day charters), but you’ll get a chance to fish quite a few places north and south of the Steinhatchee River.

Full-day Charters

Since scalloping season is in the dog-days of summer, your charter trip is normally limited to 6—7 hours, and the time depends on the tides for the best availability.  Having the sun high in the sky will also help you locate these guys as you snorkel for them.  Weekends can be crowded so a weekday charter is best for this experience!   Kids really have a blast on this adventure and the 3-person limit can be exceeded for scalloping.  Ask Captain Guy about the size of your group.

Scalloping

Captain Guy provides everything you need to catch the big ones—you need to dress comfortably for the weather, hats are a must most of the time as well as sunscreen, wear comfortable shoes, bring water shoes for scalloping.  Captain Guy will provide a cooler for your drinks and snacks (a drink and lunch is provided on Full-Day charters).  You may bring your own tackle/snorkel/fins if you desire, but it isn’t necessary.  If you want to eat your catch, bring a cooler to carry the cleaned fillets back home.  Captain Guy is happy to help clean/prepare your catch for the ride home.
